Long Handled Japanese Garden Shears For Pruning

The long handled shears are generally preferred by professional gardeners as they offer increased versitility over the short handled alternative.

Lightweight long handle shears for clipping, shaping, cutting hedges and bushes (i.e. box plants) at greater height.


Handles: ergonomically crafted handles in wood, 430mm
Blades: sharp carbon steel, 135mm

Japanese style garden shaping shears also come with longer handles. The lightweight ergonomically designed wood handles make for very light work. The longer handle allows the gardener to work at greater height without losing any precision.
Used by Japanese gardeners for centuries, these carbon steel bladed sheers are a must for any gardener and particularly those with lots of hedging and bushes.

The quality and speed of service of Japeto is exemplary.  I ordered these shears on one day and they arrived the next and all of their packaging is recyclable with negligible use of plastic which is a must for me.  The long handled shears are bliss to use with a very powerful cut where necessary, beat modern Western shears hands down and are much cheaper.  I don’t know why the West lost the art of making simple but effective garden tools.  The oak handles are very effective at absorbing shock which is good for my shoulders after a day of precision hand cutting both sides of a 30m hedge and the carbon steel blades hold a very long lasting edge (just make sure you oil them).  I will continue to recommend this Company and its products to all my horticultural friends and colleagues
